How to store your fresh bird

Remove the bird from the plastic bag, remove the band and giblets from inside bird and then refrigerate.

Cooking Times

Approximate cooking times, in a pre heated fan oven, at 170 c, gas mark 4.  Please allow additional time if covering the turkey in foil or if you have stuffed the bird.

4 kg – 1 hr 40 mins
5 kg – 2 hr 15 mins
6 kg – 2 hr 30 mins
7 kg – 2 hr 50 mins
8 kg – 3 hr 15 mins
9 kg – 3 hr 30 mins
10 kg – 3 hr 50 mins

Ovens will vary, so please use the above only as a guide.  Cook the turkey until the juices run clear when a fork is inserted in the thigh of the bird.  Rest the bird for 30 mins before serving.
